BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Md. Ahmaruzzaman is currently working as a senior professor in the Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology Silchar. He received his postgraduate degree in M.Sc. (Chemistry) from North Bengal University after his graduation from the same University. He also received his postgraduate degree in M.Tech. (Energy Science & Technology) from Jadavpur University. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Dr. Ahmaruzzaman’s research focuses on Biomass conversion and Management, Sustainable production of bio-diesel, Co-processing of petroleum vacuum residue with plastics, and biomass Cracking or pyrolysis of biomass. His research group is also involved in the photocatalytic degradation/removal of various pollutants from water and wastewater. He has produced several PhDs. He has supervised several projects at the post graduate level. He has published more than 280 research papers in international journals as well as at various national and international conferences. He has more than 11000+ Citations in International Journals. He is a reviewer of more than 50 peer-reviewed International and National journals. He is serving as Associate Editor, Guest editor, and editorial board member for various journals.
