PROJECTIntroduction [Biosketch]
- Dr. Ruma Rano was born in Dhanbad (Jharkhand), originally belongs to Murshidabad District of West Bengal. She obtained her M.Sc.(Chemistry) degree from Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag (secured 2nd position in Univ.) , M.Phil.(Applied Chemistry) from I.I.T (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad in 2001 (Topper) and completed her Ph.D. from the same Institute in 2006. She joined as Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, NIT Silchar in 2007. Her area of interest is Potential Utilization of Environmental Solid waste materials, Renewable (Bio-diesel) / Non-Renewable energy (coal , petroleum) , Synthesis of fly ash based heterogeneous catalyst for various organic reactions and Synthesis of Graphene /GO from Coal.
